No living room storage pockets.Due to an upgrade, we are selling a Vango Lumen V 500 Tent complete with Vango groundsheet, Vango carpet, a double airbed and single ring portable gas stove. Front canopy provides shelter when you’re getting in and out and we also like the expandable bag, which makes packing much easier.Ī side door would be handy as would another cable entry port and a larger front canopy would provide shelter for outdoor cooking. Quick and easy to pitch, with lots of living space. Optional extras include the Sky Shield for protecting the outside of the tent from UV and the Sky Liner, which attaches to the inside of the roof and gives an extra layer of insulation. There’s lots of ventilation throughout the tent to combat condensation, including a mesh backed front door. The sleeping areas are more suitable for three or four campers rather than five. The bedrooms along the rear have darker fabric and are split by a removable dividing panel. It also features Vango’s Sky Track hanging system for lighting and storage and there’s a cable entry point on one side.

The large panoramic PVC windows and the low/high level ventilation make the living area feel bright and airy. There is a canopy over the tent entrance that keeps the rain out when you are entering and leaving the tent, although it isn’t really big enough to provide you with shelter when cooking outside. The first thing that strikes you about the Amalfi 500 is the ‘boxy’ shape – this is down to the flat front and almost vertical side walls, which maximise the floor space and help provide good headroom inside.
